Rhoades (R-29) today presented officials from the Borough of Shenandoah with a check for $15,000 for the purchase of a pre-owed vehicle and equipment for the police department. The funding was awarded through the Department of Community and Economic Development's Community Revitalization grant program. Additionally, the Borough will also purchase a mobile radio and light bar for the Police department. "The purpose of the Community Revitalization Program is to bring state tax dollars back to groups that are committed to safeguarding Schuylkill County," said Rhoades. "I am pleased to award this grant that will help our community for many years to come." |
