Senator Rhoades Presents Grant Checks to Local Police Department

Mahanoy City -- Senator James J. Rhoades (R-29) recently presented a grant check to the Mahanoy City Borough totaling $5,000. 

The funding was made available through the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED).

The borough will use the funding to provide the local police department with much-needed new equipment and equipment upgrades, such as new police radios. 

"This organization provides invaluable services and programs to our community, and this funding will go a long way toward helping them in their efforts," Rhoades said.  "I'm very pleased to present this check, and I know it will be put to excellent use for a long time to come."
